Apple “Tea”

As we all know I love drinking tea! I drink it almost every day. It’s a great drink to have because one: it doesn’t give you the jitters that coffee does or that crash after an hour and two: it doesn’t have the side effect that coffee does such as: if you drink more then 3 cups of coffee a day you heighten your risk of having a heart attack. So I was at work one day and I was trying to put together a dessert for fun and I had left over apple parts so I decided to make “tea.”

Ingredients: 6 apple cores, the peels from the 6 apples, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1/2 tsp whole all spice, and 3 cups of water

Combine everything into a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Once at a boil, turn the heat down to a simmer and let simmer for about 30 minutes. Once the time is up, strain into a mug/cup and enjoy!

It taste’s similar to hot apple cider. There is no caffeine so it’s a great night time drink!
