At my work, we’ve decided that all the cooks will take turns making family meal and today was my day and I wanted to do something kinda special since my chef already set the bar with some amazing kimchi dish. I’ve never made this before and I’m excited!
Ingredients: 1 Lb stew beef, 4 Tbsp butter, 4 cups beef stock, 1/4 lb button mushrooms (no stem and quartered), 1 onion minced, 1/4 cup flour, 2 Tbsp dijon, 1 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste and 1 bag egg noodles.
First saute the mushrooms and onion in 2 Tbsp of butter until soft. Remove from the pan and start sauteing the beef in the same pan. Once the beef is cooked, take the beef out of the pan leaving the grease from the meat. With the grease still in the pan whisk in the flour and let it cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Whisk in the beef stock, sour cream, dijon, and heavy cream. Bring to a boil, then add back the mushrooms, onions, and beef. Salt and pepper to your taste.
While all this is going, cook off a bag of egg noodles. Strain and set a side.
Once the sauce is hot and the noodles are cooked, bring all together and ENJOY! The kitchen family really enjoyed this and for being my first time making this dish, I really liked it too!
