Greek Gyro’s

Well the time has finally come…Gyro’s! I remaking everything and the gyro meat too! So new Pita’s, Feta sauce, and finally the Gyro meat! I’m so excited for this it’s insane.

Ingredients: 1 Lb ground beef, 1 Lb ground lamb, 1/2 an onion minced, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp marjoram, 1 tsp rosemary, 1 tsp thyme, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp ground white pepper, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, and 1/3 tsp salt.

NOTE: If you’re going to use fresh herbs, be sure to chop them super fine. Also you can use Himalayan pink ground salt  (use the same amount as regular salt)

First mince the onion. Then place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix until completely combined. Let rest in a loaf pan in the fridge for at least half an hour.

325 degrees.

Once the  oven is up to temp, cook the gyro meat for about an hour and a half or until the internal temp reads 165 degree. Let cool for a couple minutes to re-soak in all the juices, then take out of the pan and slice amazing thin slices for the gyro’s!

Now I put shaved red cabbage on mine which is really good, but you can put anything on your gyro’s!
