Apple Caramel Whisky Ice Cream

I’ve been wanting to make an Apple Whisky Ice Cream for a while now and I think I’ve finally done it! I love caramel whisky as is and they said to make it tastes better add apple cider or apple juice.

Ingredients: 2 cups Black Velvet Caramel Whisky, 1 cup apple juice, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

Place the ice cream maker container in the freezer so that it freezes over night.

First we must burn off all the alcohol in the whisky (because alcohol doesn’t freeze, the ice cream wont freeze if this isn’t done!) So place the whisky in a small saute pan, take a lighter and light the top of the alcohol until blue flames surround it. The alcohol takes a little time to burn off, so once the flames are all gone the whisky is perfect.

Next combine the heavy whipping cream, whisky, apple juice, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Whisk all together and place in the fridge for 24 hours.

After the 24 hours are up, start making the ice cream!

The ice cream tasted really good. You can use any alcohol you would like….just make sure that you know it would taste good with the ingredients in the ice cream.
