Pulled Pork

Well I am relaxed and back to being inspired to cook once again! A vacation from work and school is great for cooking. And since I wasn’t able to cook for Thanksgiving, I have so many idea’s in my head. I’ve been wanting to do a pulled pork recipe for a while now and I’ve finally made it. It’s kind of an unconventional way of doing pulled pork but it works and it’s perfect for the winter season as well.

Ingredients: 1 boston butt (pork butt), 2 liters of root beer, a crock pot, large plastic bag

pork marinade: 1/4 cup salt, 1/4 cup pepper, 2 Tbsp smoked paprika, 1 Tbsp cinnamon, 1 liter root beer, 2 Tbsp garlic powder.

Cooking: 1 liter rootbeer

Alright first mix together the pork marinade minus the root beer. Rub the marinade on the pork and place in the plastic bag. Before closing the plastic bag add the root beer. Let marinade over night.

The next day, take the pork butt out of the plastic bag and place in the crock pot (throw away the marinade and plastic bag), and add the other half of the root beer in the crock pot. Let cook for about 9 hours. After the pork is done cooking pull apart. This pork is so tender and sweet and after you pull the meat apart, mix with whatever bbq sauce you like!
